I wanted to play with pale colors instead of my usual strong ones. I thought the layout worked well for the 6 different designs in the collection. It is meant to be hung where the back can be seen. This was fun!

A political statement in quilt form is definitely "Out of the Box" for this quilter. After taking a Bea Grayson class on line and design, this quilt came together. The subject matter and spirit seem to fit the current administration.
Don't you wish the president would just stop tweeting?

Diego Rivera placed all of Frida Kahlo's clothing into storage when she died, and demanded they stay locked up until 15 years after his death. In 2004, her elaborate outfits were set free and are now part of the Frida Kahlo museum in Mexico City.
