2015 Raffle Quilt: It Takes a Village to Sew a Quilt

It Takes a Village to Sew a Quilt

RSQ's 2015 raffle quilt "It Takes a Village to Sew a Quilt" is an adaptation of the traditional school house pattern. It measures 93 inches by 95 inches and is made out of batik fabrics. The quilting and choice of colors gives it a contemporary feel. Members of the guild paper pieced the blocks, sewed the blocks together and machine quilted it. The quilt was named in honor of this collaborative effort. The label on the back of the quilt is surrounded by four of the guild's signature rising star blocks. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the charity "REACH - beyond domestic violence".
