After I made a wall quilt in Sylvia Einstein's class, I so loved her adaptation of the double wedding ring pattern, that I made this quilt, in more subdued fabrics, for my bed. Now I can sew curves without pinning!

A 50th wedding anniversary present for my parents June 21, 1992. The label was hand embroidered. The hearts quilted around the border represents my folks (big hearts intertwined) and my brother and me (the small hearts). The quilt was completed 1993.

Our Wednesday Afternoon Quilting Bee decided to try round robin quilting. My inspiration was a hooked rug my father had made. I liked the color choices and design. My original strip was the row of stars near the center. Each woman added a row and her own interpretation.

This quilt is the WAQs contribution to Benefit Quilts. We made any size blocks with a light green background. The blocks were redistributed and we were asked to make them 12". The blocks were sewn together, borders added and then butterflies were quilted in our garden by Laurena McDermott. WAQs: Wednesday Afternoon Quilters, Florence Baturin, Delores McCravy, Nancy Wasserman, Nancy Howard, Sarah Griffin, Lisa Welter, and JoAnn Granger.

The first quilt I entered into the first Rising Star Quilt show in 1988. It was made after my parrot, Eccho, a scarlet macaw. I had a window that was small, but needed something reversible to be seen fro the outside, therefore a reversible window quilt.
