    Description:
    It's almost time to watch your mail or visit the VQF website. The VQF class and show information catalog will be in the mail and on the website in early February. Over 85 classes are taught by a prestigious faculty including Linda Carlson, Darlene Christopherson, Susan K. Cleveland, Sally Collins, John Flynn, Jane Garrison, Carol Anne Grotrian, Gail Kessler, Billy Lauder, Libby Lehman, Helen Marshall, Judy Mathieson, Merry May, Jan Snelling McTaggart, Marti Mitchell, Jo Morton, Sue Nickels, Judy Niemeyer, Linda M. Poole, Mary K. Ryan, Joan Shay, Anita Schackelford, George Siciliano and Barbara Vlack. Bobbie Aug and Gerald Roy present the AQS Quilt Appraisal classes this year and Kea Kohlmeyer presents the young quilters' classes. Among the several special exhibits are the Contest Quilt exhibit, Hard Time Fine Quilts: quilts of the 1930's, an Ann Bird Retrospective and Fabled Fibers: Art Quilt Enchantments. Several vendors and a booth hop that promises to be lots of fun are new to the Festival this year. Quilt appraisals, free gallery talks and vendor demos add to the excitement. And not to be missed is the Champagne and Chocolate Preview on Thursday, June 26, a festive evening of awards and a sneak preview of the quilts.
